This November marks the eighth anniversary of “Hand for a Friend,” a ministry serving the homeless community in Novi Sad, Serbia which now supports more than 30% of the city’s homeless population.
The mission focuses on restoration, dignity and new life in Christ, with several individuals already transitioning out of homelessness or addiction.
At present, one participant from the homeless ministry is enrolled in the church’s Rehabilitation Centre.
As winter approaches, the need for assistance increases, and this month the ministry provided winter shoes and is seeking resources for warm jackets or sleeping bags.
